What Would have Happened if India was a Muslim Majority Country?

I was asked this question by a fellow commentator recently on another blog - what would have happened if India was a Muslim majority country?

I think that's a very interesting question.

Consider some of the possibilities -

First, the British couldn’t have played a divisive politics based on multiple religions and they couldn’t have partitioned the subcontinent.
